WIP Activate SSL

Install WIP version >= 18.6.0.014

Type of certificate

You can activate SSL with your own certificate if you have one or using a self signed certificate

Using self signed certificate

Follow the below procedure but leave the "Certificate Thumbprint " field empty

Using your own certificate

1. Install the certificate in local computer/personal location. Ensure you have a private key
   
   

   Open

   

2. Change the WIP url to the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the certificate if available
   
   

   Open

   

3. Open the certificate and copy the thumbprint
   
   

Then launch WIP Setup and follow this procedure carefully

1. Stop the WIP Web Server

2. If "Use SSL" is already checked

   1. uncheck it,

   2. press Apply, it will restart the server

   3. then Stop it again

3. check Use SSL,

4. if you have your own certificate see "Using your own certificate" above

   1. paste your certificate thumbprint in the "Certificate Thumbprint " field

5. press Apply button,

6. it should restart WIP Web Server and apply the certificate

Follow the new “WIP Mgmt Console” link.
