WIP Processor Wiki
WIP Servers
For each server defined in WIP, we need to create the processor on the machine where WIP is installed. This is done automatically but when we installed WIP on another server, the old configurations are still there and so we need to create a new processor for each servers on the new machine.
Processor can be defined for the following type of WIP servers.
SAP (bo)
QlikView (qv)
QlikSense (qs)
For simplicity, we shall show an example of how to define a processor for the QlikView Server (qv) server. We shall define a processor for PROD QlikView Server. (If you have other servers like DEV,UAT, you need to define one for each. The same logic is applied for the other type of server like SAP and QlikSense).
Server defined in the WIP Repositories
We shall down define a processor for the EBIWIN2016-QV-PRD. Normally this is done automatically once the server is created. But if we want to create it on another machine, please follow the following steps:-
Go to Configuration → Processor as shown in the image below:-
Click on the Processor and the following screen will be shown:-
Click on the “Create” button
Input the required information and click on the “Save” button
The new processor will be created on the machine where WIP is installed
Please note that we define the processor on the machine where WIP is installed.
Go to the Option Tab
For Qlikview, the following file can be processed by the processor:-
QVW
For SAP, the following can be processed by processor:-
RPT
UNV
UNX
WID
For Qliksense, the following can be processed by the processor
QVF
For the file that is needed to be processed by the processor, put “Use Processor” to YES and then click on the button “Save”
Once done, go to “WIP Setup” or to services.msc to restart the processor service as shown below:-
Alternatively, you can restart it from “Services.msc”
Once the service is restarted, processor is now ready to be used.
