Set Destination To Publish checked -in App to Shared / Managed space
Before we publish the app we need to set where we need to publish the app.
Setting destination to publish the app to the shared space
Login to WIP and go to manage content ->Files
Open sense server and check in the app which needs to be published.
Setting destination at package level
Click on destination without selecting any app
Click on destination button and then click edit.
Select the shared space where we need to publish the app and click on save.
NOTE: Destination should be displayed correctly and Destination Prov is CurPackEnvi.
NOTE: It directly publishes the app to the specified space.
Setting destination at app level
Click on destination by selecting the app.
Click on destination button and then click edit.
Select the destination to publish the app
Click on save.
NOTE: Destination Prov for the APP level on the grid page is FileEnv
Setting destination to publishing the app to the Managed space
Login to WIP and go to manage content ->Files
Open sense server and check in the app which needs to be published.
Setting destination at package level
Click on destination without selecting any app
Click on destination button and then click edit.
Select the space and Click on save.
NOTE: Destination should be displayed correctly and Destination Prov is CurPackEnvi.
NOTE: In case of managed space, we need to also set the VMGeneral path as the publication is not direct.
Select the VMGeneral( i.e. first row) and click on Edit
Select the temporary space and click on save.
NOTE: Destination for VM General should be displayed correctly and Destination Prov is CurPackEnvi.
Note:
You can either chose a Shared space or Manage Space
Destination at File Level has a higher precedence than Package Level (meaning if we set both package destination and file destination, the latter will have priority and WIP will published specified by the file destination)
