Now we can manage PowerBI apps in WIP

Pre-requisite

  1. One should have one Power BI Account with access to minimum two work spaces.

Configure Server

  1. Login as VMMANAGER and go to server

  2. Click on Add server and select Power BI

  3. Enter the details as below

  4. Name: Name of the server
    Directory (tenant) ID - id of the tenant
    Application (client) ID - client id
    Secret Key - secrete api key

  1. Click on Save and Test Power BI server.

  2. We should see success. and list the count of workspaces.

  3. Add the Server - Environment as needed (ex DEV/ UAT/PRD)

Login and Check in the app

  1. Logout and go to login

  2. Select the Power BI server env which we added earlier

  3. In the pop up enter the username and password and click on login.

  1. User will be redirected to Manage conent ->PowerBI

  2. Create a new package or select any existing package and , click on the powerbi icon to expand the server and to view available workspaces and applications belonging to them.

  1. Expand the workspace and select one or more the app (report or sementecmodel) to check in

  1. App should be checked in WIP power BI

  1. Click on the Destinations and set the destination by using the stream where app needs to be published
